Steam issue

I defragmented my HDD today and I can't open steam now, it is staying like this for 10minutes and nothing happens...

 

edit: SERVERS WERE DOWN FOR A MINUTE IN EASTERN EUROPE. Now it works fine

This is happening to me too. Except mine is saying untitled at the top in stead of steam

Tried reinstalling did nothing. I think their servers are down or something.

I had the exact same error a week or so ago. It's an error that the defrag causes with your steam files because the system marks some of them as trash. Just reinstall it and you'll be all good!

At least we all have an error then. Must be a network issue.

All I did was install a mod for one of my games nothing with the steam files that could have messed with it.

Progress bar is full but nothing is happening now

It's now working for me too.

Files don't get trashed during a defrag. They are only getting moved around. Whatever's there stays there.
