How's my 970 overclock?

So I overclocked my 970 about 2 weeks ago on Asus GPU Tweak but that only allows me to go up to 1400 mhz which is annoying. So I decided to overclock it again today using afterburner and I was a little bit surprised by my results.

 

 

Sorry about the quality my camera wouldn't focus

(GeForce GTX 970

Graphics: 1620 mhz

Memory: 4105mhz

Temperature: 69 C)

 

I know 970s should always be able to hit at least 1500 mhz but 1620 feels high, is it average or should I do a day long benchmark to make 100% sure it's stable. (I already did hour long benchmarks to find the sweet spot and at 1620 I was not getting artifacts but if I went to 1630 I was.)

Ignore what valley says, it's always too high (about 8% I think or 12%)

Valley is known for providing false readings, unless of course Afterburner reads the same thing.

Use a program such as GPU Z to get true GPU numbers

 eGPU Setup: Macbook Pro 13" 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD, i5 3210M, GTX 980 eGPU

use gpuz or msi afterburner :P. anything over 1600mhz would be a better than average card though. most get 1500-1550mhz

I feel bummed cos i only got +239mhz on my reference 980 (Normally boosts between 1492-1505)

thats not that bad tbh. one of my G1's only does ~1520 and that is suppose to be a high binned gpu.
