Should I upgrade my GPU ?

Hi , I an looking to change my GPU and I don't know if I should , maybe I should wait . I am actually with a http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=68499&vpn=GV-R777OC-1GD and I use it for games (FC4,GTA5[soon],Arma3)...

I can't play these games at High with my current GPU and I want to play next gen games with it so should I buy a new GPU or wait for a new one ?

 

System :

ram:G.SKILL Ripjaws 2X8 16GB    

cpu:FX-8320  

gpu:Gigabyte Radeon HD 7770 1GB      

psu:Silent Pro M2 1000W

mobo:ASUS M5A97 R2.0 (maybe damaged) 64k error even with different RAM stick

I don't know how to change my Username :(

if you are lagging in you games you need a upgrade.

I wouldn't change it now. The GTX 960 is coming soon hopefully. 

If you really want to upgrade now, you could look for something like the R9 280X. That would be a pretty good upgrade and it isn't too expensive. I don't know what your budget is like :/

300 $  1$=0.85$US = 255$US but that website is in Canadian dollar

Sometimes I get frame drops , freezing on CS:GO Competitive (really anoying) , play FC4 on medium

Do you timeout when that happens ?

For 10 bucks more you can get an R9 290 which performs much better and has 4GB of VRAM.

 

Its strange how you have a 1000W PSU...

got it for 100$ because my other Mobo and PSU broke so the store made me a deal

I don't know how to change my Username :(

This card would be just in your budget. I guess that would probably be the best choice if you really want to upgrade now. Otherwise I would wait for the GTX 960. Or if you could get around 50-70 dollars more, you could even get a really powerful 970 from Zotac.

No just freeze on the image and the sound that was playing repeat and than I have to reboot

Ohh.. it freezes with me and I hear sounds but I just have to exit and then reconnect to the game.

another thing that would help with the games that you play is VRAM, you should get at least 3gb of vram if you are going to buy a new graphics card.
