i3-4130

If you can get a dual-core/HyperThreaded i3 for that much, then that. If you want to save some money, get a G3258 and OC it to the max.

Why high refreshrate monitors look better even without Freesync/G-sync in one image.
Stutters, framedrops, "lag". How to provide detailed information with your "bottleneck" question, as well as a few solutions.

Do you want to upgrade later on? If yes,G3258 No,I3-4130.

Gonna go ahead and say this guys answer is best. Pair it with a cheap h97.

i3-4130

i3 is looking like the best option so far, i doubt any upgrading will be done anytime soon.

i3-4130 or i3-4150 wich ever is cheaper if you go with the i3-4150 you pick a H97 motherboard...the 4130 works out of the box on any chipset.
