Extracting Issues?

So I'm trying to update drivers on a computer I just installed windows on and every time i try to extract to anywhere it tells me this weird message:

 

Does anyone know whats going on? I mean I was able to install Skype, chrome iTunes and more no problem.

Any help is always appreciated!

To me, it looks like you're trying to extract an .exe. Just run it.

When I click it on the desktop it automatically pops up with a window trying to unzip it. Theres no option for me to run it

Have you tried right-clicking?

funny thing is ive never installed 7 zip.....

looks li9ke a rar file so open with winrar. when the pane opens up look for the exe. quick double click it. what happens?

after I double click the file this is my only option:

it's looking for a place to extract. so add a new file on your desktop and extract it there. (c-user-tyler-desktop-newfolder.) this should be self extracting........ look in the new folder and see if the exe show up.

 

are you sure you got the right download for what you have? what are yopu updating?

Im updating the audio driver as there is none, and this is what I get when I download and run straight from the gigabyte website:

via driver. that must be an old board..LOL............. did you read where it says to install the latest BIOS first?

see if you can find the driver on VIA's site or try another download or try another download location.

 

only thing I can think is it's the wrong driver. I get the same result.

OP is trying to install/open a 64bit exe on 32bit windows
