you clearly havent seen the volume of GPUs I selected

I think they may be referring to the fact that it is platinum grade which is unnecessary. I actually bought a corsair platinum PSU myself and I've come to realize the money could have been better spent (still an awesome PSU though)

Cant you like run four 970s with 850w?

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Yes, it's still overkill with 2 cards. You won't need more than 500w in reality. So go with a decent 600w

For 970's in sli and allowing OCing on both the cpu and gpu in reality I would get a decent 750w psu, i like to have a bit of head room without being overkill.

You could make this cheaper by swapping out some components i.e Ram/Board but it matches nicely.

So its 3 years since my last gaming build, I want high res/hi refresh rate gaming so pushing the boat a little. On the absolute limit of my budget but what do you think of my part choice?

Will be gaming and and doing a bit of video editing:

OCGPUzw.png

looks impressive and nice build, however very expensive monitor, you could save al ot of money here, most new monitors for half the price are easy good enough.

got to love Asus components

8 GB is enough for Gaming and editing.

Do 2TB Blue or 1T Blue and 1TB Black.

Because Blue is best as first HDD to safe documents and daily shizzle. Also good for editing.

Black is good for gaming, but must not to much copying and delete as by editing.

Get cheaper Screen

750 Wattage is overkill and I don't know how the PSU perform, but I advice to go for 650W. Check PCPartPicker to calculate how much Watt you need

Check this site (you can translate by Google Translate) to choose good PSU. Green is good en Red is bad
