So i plan on upgrading my gpu since my grandparents tought i need new monitor for some reason(like i dont even get how they tought of that.....)so now i got 24 inch 1080p screen sitting in my room but my curent gpu cant handle the games on this resolution(i have 1366*768 atm and i was happy with it xD) so i was thinking of buying radeon r9 270(270x is like 30$ more that i dont have) but i am not sure if my psu can handle it?

My current pc has:
Gpu:Radeon 7770
Cpu:I5 4460
Cpu cooler:stock
Mobo:Gigabyte H97-D3H
Ram:2*4gb kingston fury
Case:Fractal design arc midi r2
Psu:Zalman ZM500-GS

As you can probably notice by cpu it is a budget gaming build and gtx 760 is to exspensive in Croatia and if i need new psu i am super tight with money even with r9 270 ;(

The r9 270 i would get would be double dissipation edition and for new psu i was thinking of XFX P1-550S-XXB9 Pro Series Core Edition 80+ 550W PSU but again i dont know a lot about psu so not sure if it is good enough or not :/

=snip=

It seems like the R9 270's advised PSU requirement is 450w so what you have right now is fine.

The 270 should handle pretty much any game at High 30fps+ with your CPU, But the 270x should handle even better.

My Gaming PC

|| CPU: Intel i5 4690@4.3Ghz || GPU: Dual ASUS gtx 1080 Strix. || RAM: 16gb (4x4gb) Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600Mhz. || Motherboard: MSI Z97S Krait edition. || OS: Win10 Pro
