I'm going to be building my first gaming PC soon and was wondering if it would be any good or if there are any parts I should change for others.

My Budget is currently £550 but I will be putting a GTX 970 in this in about August

My Parts are:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£179.99 @ UK)
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Guard-Pro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£74.66 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Kingston Fury White Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  (£59.98 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Kingston Fury 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£77.90 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Toshiba  1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£37.99 @ Amazon UK)
Case: BitFenix Comrade ATX Mid Tower Case  (£39.95 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (£51.46 @ Amazon UK)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer  (£14.79 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £536.72Amazon

I will be adding a Used AMD Radeon HD 7850 for now, as I have bought it from a friend (But will upgrade to a GTX 970). I also have a Windows 8.1 Licence I'm going to use.

I also can only buy things from Amazon, barbecue delivery from everywhere is really expensive to where I live :-(

Thanks in Advance for the Help! :-)

Looks pretty good, though I'd swap the HDD out for a WD Blue or Black, or a seagate barracuda.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Is the optical drive really necessary?

I'd suggest getting a better case. The Comrade's airflow is sub-par.

I'd swap the HDD out for a WD Blue or Black, or a seagate barracuda.
