Comparing Laptops

Jimbillroo Digital

Is it for gaming and is there a discrete gpu in the laptop?

the i5 is a much more powerful cpu, but if you're using only integrated graphics and doing anything graphics intensive then the 7100 does probably have a bit of an edge.

i5. hands down.

THE i5 WITHOUT A DOUBT

i5.

Ummm..... i5?

Yes better, guys but if you have to see for mobile devices, I don't think he will have a discrete gpu, it depends. If he does have a discrete gpu i5 hands down. If he does not, considering the apu has better graphic al performance by A LOT, then the a8 is better

INTEL HE GRAPHICS IS NOT BETTER THEN A APU GRAPHIC, DO U RVEN KNOW WHAT U ARE TALKING BOUT?

The laptop will be used for video editing, graphics design, internet, etc.

Here are the two laptops:

ASUS X555LA 15.6” Laptop

ACER E5-551 15.6" Laptop

A8 hands down, because editing needs a good gpu and the apu has it

I'd definitely go with the ASUS, from what I've heard/experienced, acer laptops have cheap shitty plastic construction, and are just overall pretty shitty.

Please don't comment on things u don't know. Show me 1 source that says the Intel hd graphics on a i5 4210 beats the one on the a8.

The op needs a discrete gpu, the i5 is pure processing power, not graphical performance...

The Intel chip is much faster in every single way but graphics performance.

It's faster clock for clock(much higher ipc)

It's also much faster out of the box

it uses much less power

Depending on what software you use, a cpu with more raw power will be better because not every application can leverage the more powerful graphics in the AMD chip.

Well I do some graphics design and video editing so would the AMD be a better option or the Intel?

What programs do you use?

Also, what else is the system used for? and How important is editing now/in the future?
