4GB physical, 2GB effective. Marketing for dual GPU cards is a bit shifty.

That´s very true. Countless people here in the forums stumbled over the '8GB VRAM' of the R9 295x2. Cards with with dual chips on one PCB do not share the memory. It is a real SLI/CF scenario and so a GTX690 has 2 GK104 chips each with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM and a R9 295x2 has 2 Hawaii XT chips with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM each on it and so on.

Don't see how you cant trust ebay. What online store do you trust that isn't as reputable as newegg, amazon or ebay? If you aren't gonna get it used, your not gonna get one.
