I found a program called PrimoCache and even though I am using an ssd(960GB Crucial M500) , I could feel the improvement in responsiveness in my system and my system is no slouch (i7 4790k @4.5Ghz, 8GB 2400 CL9, GTX 780).

I also tried to run AS SSD and the result was astronomical especially for 4k.

best of all you can try the program for 90 days free.

Can any magnetic hard drive user try it to see if there would be an improvement in responsiveness since the program has long trial, I might recommend this to my cousin since he is stuck on using an old hdd.

Yeah, we're all just a bunch of idiots experiencing nothing more than the placebo effect.

You can download the program and see for yourself.

The faster your ram is, the higher the speed (I am using a 2400Mhz CL9 kit).

But it isn't reading from the SSD no way it's probably reading from the ram or something.

That's using the RAM as a RAMdrive cache. That's a lot more than any SATA interface or drive can do.

SATA 3 is 6Gb/s so it's not possible that is from the SSD, i guess it's caching in ram the most used files, I think at least.

That is what I got from the program page.

As has been pointed out already: RAM caching. The same as Samsungs RAPID mode. Hard to believe this still causes so much awe and wonder... ;)
