Either or. Both will run the same, given they have the same specs.

Even if the specs weren't the same it wouldn't really matter.

Well...pick the one you like better :P

These?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231528

Have these in my main rig and just sent my second kit to G. Skill for an upgrade.

That kit is 142.99

Let me throw you a curve ball.

You could get Trident X. 2400 CL10

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231589

159.99 then if you use the promo code you get 20 off. So 139.99 for better ram.

What about g.skill sniper? I love the way those look and the price is always amazing for them. But I do think the fury line looks better than ripjaws.

nope, i'm buying them in Australia. TridentX is very overpriced. I think I'll go for ripjaws becoz it has XMP Profile

XMP doesn't really impact anything the only thing is a minor performance gain possibly but in most cases it's just to ensure the RAM runs at it's max rated speeds. The Kingston stick are really good at doing that on their own with basically most motherboards, I have a kit of Kingston's plug in a go no need for any adjustments.

As others have said go with what you like and what you can get for a better price.

Get the highest clock rate you can at the lowest CL for the price you deem fair. 1866-2400 have very close prices now. Even some 2666 are coming down, though 2800 is still a jump.

G.Skill tend to overclock far better due to getting some of Hynix's best chips too.

I'm partially red-green colorblind, but for me the Kingston red is ugly both online and in real life with any combination of equipment.

Team Xtreme LV is cheap right now and my Dad's been on it for months with no problem. It comes with XMP. See if you like it.

The frequency, timings, and latency of Ram is really pretty irrelevant -- unless you're using an APU. So, if the "faster" ram is more or less the same price (+/- a couple dollars), then sure it makes sense to get the faster ram because why not; but otherwise, paying more for "faster" ram is usually just a waste of money.

G.skill is overpriced "marketed at gamers" bullshit.

Kingston all the way.

"Overpriced"

Out of the ten cheapest 8gb (2x4gb) kits, 7 of the first 9 are G.Skill and its not until the 10th cheapest that you get to a Kingston kit.

And a "better" G.Skill kit (1600 @ 9) is $66.99 vs. Kingstons (1600 @ 10) is $66.98. Yeah, G.Skill is wildly overpriced.
