Hey linus community i just downloaded the obs installer i try to install it and this comes up

so i go and download it run the installer and it says its all up to date.

i dont understand?

Well, it's like OBS doen't detect that you've got Direct X installed.

Run OBS and DX installer as admin and try restarting your PC ^^

Well, it's weird af... W8 comes with DX11 preinstalled...

The only thing I can think of (but I doubt so) is that OP isn't running the installer as Administrator

That could be true. Or sometimes software can just malfunction. Who knows.
