Hay guys,

can you recommend any CPU-Coolers, that do not interfere with the quite high RAM(Corsair Vengeance black) on a msi z87 g45 gaming motherboard, but also cool good enough for a maybe overclocked i7 4770k, to run at around 50°C?

I hope you can help. I had the Alpenföhn Brocken 2 in my mind, but i don't know how he will perform.

Thanks

rexfox

Overclocked 4770K at 50°C? You're going to have to aim for at least a H100i type cooler (and even that might not be enough).

Desktop: Intel Core i7-5820K, Corsair H115i, Asus X99-Deluxe/USB 3.1, G.Skill Ripjaws4 32GB 2800MHz CL16, Zotac RTX 3070, Samsung 950 Pro 512GB in Angelbird Wings PX1, Samsung 850 EVO 1TB, 5*Seagate 12TB, Cooler Master V1200, Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, Windows 10 Pro. Phillips 328P6VUBREB, Corsair Vengeance K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown, Logitech G502 X Plus, Sennheiser HD700.

AYANEO 2S: AMD 7800U, 32GB 7500MHz, 2TB WD SN850X. Windows 11.

If you want it to run at around 50C then you will have to go custom water cooling.

EDIT after reading the OP update:

Low budget: Hyper 212 EVO

Medium: NZXT Havok 140, Xigmatek Dark Knight,

High: NH-D14(might have to change fan orientation), Silver Arrow (same as Noctua about the fans), NH-U14S

The problem is that with high profile RAM such as the Corsair Vengeance you will be very limited with the choices you have with air coolers. Water coolers on the other hand won't matter since they won't even come close to touching the RAM. A good water cooler (240mm) is the Swiftech H220, H100i, Thermaltake Water 2.0/3.0.

Then no. Water cooling is your only option if you want no interference.

rexfox, there is no problem at all with the closed watercooling loops, I have on of the earliset samples of the h50 and there have been no leaks, rattles with the pump, or anything like that, so if it's because you worry about the sustainability I would say that you can rest asure that the unit will not break or anything like that :D

Why don't you like water cooling? May I ask?

Because i fear the problems, which can come with it. The leaking and so on.

Thanks, so you would recommend watercooling. Mhh, i always wanted to go with air cooling, but now i begin to think about it. The good thing is, that i have up to 4 weaks or longer before i have to make a decision.

Does anyone at least can answer my question which is the best air cooler, which don't interfere with the ram? ^^

I am looking for prices for watercooling system and there comes up another problem, because it's quite expensive. Mostly double the  price of an aircooler.

Do you think is should try the Alpenföhn and test it if it works for me and eventually send it back?

Measure first. Make sure it'll fit.
