Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

Ubuntu is a good start; you can even use it before installing it!

Also look into Deepin, a fairly-new Chinese distro. The UI is gorgeous.

deepin looks better than mac os. i may check it out, and how can i use linux w/out installing it?

I haven't done it in a while, but IIRC you just have to follow the instructions on how to prepare a boot drive on a USB drive, then boot from the USB drive.

Or something. Don't worry, it wasn't complicated as much as you'd think.

Linux Mint. It takes the popularity and support Ubuntu has but makes some really important key differences like being more user friendly with proprietary drivers and quite frankly having an interface that doesn't fucking sucks (Sorry but Ubuntu is more interested in selling you their stupid fucking app store stuff than creating a UI that's usable outside of a tablet)

Ubuntu/Mint and Debian are pretty good..

As for the one best distro, it depends on usage...
