Sony unveils the Bravia X900C, the worlds thinnest TV, running Android TV

connorpiper

I was obviosly trying to be funny there. Ofcourse it wont wobble stupidly but more than a half of it is (almost?) thin as latest ipad air.

More than half, and it is thinner than the iPad air.

The PSU bit that sticks out is still thinner than the thinnest OLED TV.

I want this tv. But i want it to not be a smart tv and not be $5k or $10k. pereferably $1500 or $2k (which is already more than i would spend on a tv.) but i dont see this happening.

My profile pic is the game i'm currently playing. I hope i remember to change it..

The panel is thin for design and function when mounted to the wall. It does not stick out as much, and it looks as if it is "Floating" off the wall.

Still, have to admit the design is always beautiful.

I have two sony phones and a vaio (broken).

I was about to get another vaio then I came to know there won't be any sony notebooks anymore. :o:(

Okay but, Samsung has 4K TVs in the UK starting at just under £1,000 yet every Sony TV I see starts at something silly like £3000 or more.

I don't find your "competition" very competitive. Sony, if you can make a console cheaper than Microsofts at launch you can surely make an affordable 4K TV like Samsung. My next TV shall be a Samsung 4K TV.

System Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X

GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT

RAM: 32GB 3600MHz

HDD: 1TB Sabrent NVMe -  WD 1TB Black - WD 2TB Green -  WD 4TB Blue

MB: Gigabyte  B550 Gaming X- RGB Disabled

PSU: Corsair RM850x 80 Plus Gold

Case: BeQuiet! Silent Base 801 Black

Cooler: Noctua NH-DH15

If you are looking at the cheapest model, then yes, it will be cheaper than Sony.

Because Sony does not make a low end model.

I would think people would know about brand dilution.

But Sony had their X85 and X90 4K TVs $1000-$2000 off a month ago.

And again, it is more expensive for a reason, the panel is much better than Samsungs, and the panel is 3840x2160 which is technically not even 4K just UHD. Sony TVs are 4096x2160.
