Watercooled Build Colour Recommendations

Go to solution Solved by OrangeFlavoured,

If you don't want the hassle of having to custom sleeve each cable look at CableMod Cables there are many European retailers that sale them.

http://cablemod.com/

http://cablemod.com/where-to-buy/

They also have lots of colors.

I like white/black personally but you get some really nice sleeving colour combos i.e. black/green black/blue black/yellow. I think black should be one of the main colours as most components are black then use a different colour for highlights.

For sleeving, it's much much cheaper to do it yourself. You can get enough paracord to do an entire PSU for less than £20 from somewhere like Wildelk.co.uk

Scan and Overclockers are the best places in the UK to get the parts from my experience. You shouldn't need to import anything.

I would go for something that's not common (ie. Red and black). Maybe black and purple? Not many of those around.

Oh sorry, I guess I didn't understand then. But if you are looking for custom sleeved cables you can find them here. They are closed now but will reopen soon. If you are looking for water cooling part they are here.

I bought almost all of my watercooling parts from Scan. They have a very good range.

Awesome, go for that then.

I had a look at the cable mod site and it looks like they make the sleeved cabling for the Corsair PSU's which is the one I have. If they are I wouldn't recommend buying from them, the sleeving isn't nice and soft; it's more a plasticy feel. I'd recommend buying them elsewhere but it might be worth while to check first, I haven't checked if they are the people who make these http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-individually-sleeved-psu-dc-cable-kittype-3-(gen-2)-for-axi-ax-hx-rm-txm-white (the one I bought).

You can get custom sleved cabel from here i got mine here and the delive quite quickly

Thanks for all the replies! I think I have an idea of what to do now!

I'm planning out a watercooled rig with a 4790k, triple 980 references and 32GB of some Corsair RAM, 256GB of SSD and 6x1TB WD Blacks in RAID10, EVGA Z97 Classified I don't know what motherboard to get, the Z97 Classified or the Z97 XPOWER AC, and a 900D (this also is up for change), but here is my question: I am very new to getting custom sleeving or whatever it's called so where should I get it? And what colour scheme shall I go for? There is only a black 900D, so yeah :( I have never bought watercooling parts before, where should I get them? Keep in mind I'm in the UK, not the US, but if I HAVE to I can get some smaller stuff shipped from the US.

Thanks :)

EDIT 1: The sleeving issue is sorted!

Should I do something like JayZTwoCents' Skunkworks with the XPOWER AC?

Also, if you're wanting any custom parts, coldzero.eu is a good choice. They're pretty cheap and the stuff they can do is amazing. I had two custom backplates from them a while ago.
