GPU and RAM

Hi, could someone help me with the choosing of GPU and RAM?

With the GPU i would like AMD and I can spend from 300 up to 350$.

with the RAM i would like 16GB DDR3 and I can spend from 50 up to 150$.

I got a AMD A10 6790K 4cores 4.3Ghz max.

600W PSU.

And also if it has got 8pin-plug could i use 6+2pin connectors?

Also some people prefer it, some have bad experiences and are set to one brand. I have had bad experiences with nvidia and not a single bad experience with AMD so this is part of the reason I choose AMD

You can plug a 6+2 pin power cable into an 8 pin connector. That's why it's designed like that.

That came out wrong, I meant going in looking at only one brand is a no-no. I own a r9 280 because it was cheapest best price/performance for me

If at the time it was cheapest there is nothing wrong with that decision.

Only with something like a 7750 and 7770
