Is the Logisys PSU any good

Jackgamer91

Finding a PSU to pair up with an Intel Core i5 4440, a GTX 680, and 6 gigs of RAM on a mini-itx motherboard.

Are Logisys PSUs any good? I can get a 550W one for $35 which will save me money.

Core i7 2700K Oc'ed 4.4 Ghz, EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 SC'ed, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, 240 GB Intel 730 SSD and 2 TB 7200 RPM HDD, Zalman Z9 plus case with 7 blue LED fans, Windows 10 Preview

They work, but look at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438016&cm_re=evga_500-_-17-438-016-_-Product

I'd recommend this A WHOLE LOT MORE.

True but GTX 680 needs at least 550W

I run my 7970/280X on a 500W PSU (42A on the +12V rail) and the 680 consumes much less

Stay far far away. Logisys PSU's are cheap and put your system at risk(because if this fails, it can fry other components). You will be better off spending more on a PSU(spending more now will save you later).

No it doesn't. I've had a 760 working beautifully on a 430W from EVGA. That's the 'ideal' setting. I does not need a 550W. It'll take 350ish max, which leaves a bunch of headroom for everything else. The EVGA that I recommended is one that I've built with many times and will be 100 times better than any Logysis.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

No, it doesn't. Please don't throw numbers around if you haven't looked at any benchmarks. http://www.anandtech.com/show/5699/nvidia-geforce-gtx-680-review/19
