Can't uninstall two programs

So, I'm going through my grandma's computer and removing a bunch of stuff to make it faster (this hard drive hits a brick wall for load times around 1/4 capacity). And I never really game on her computer anymore, so I decided to remove Origin and Steam. But Steam won't go away (as well as this "Plane" program which was for Intel AppUp or something like that). It just does this (I did this for Plane, but the same thing happens for Steam). I have admin rights and all that crap, and I'm not using my own account (I'm using the original account on this computer).

Try using the windows uninstaller.

Browse to the installation folder on the harddrive, see if there is an uninstallation .exe in there, if not, you're out of luck

... And there wasn't.

 

Try using the windows uninstaller.

Just delete the stuff manually then.

it means the developer didnt make instructions for uninstall. there is normally an uninstaller.exe with the program.

 

just delete the folder in program files

Open my computer, click the C drive, and then program files (x86) if there are two, if theres only one program files then click the one.

delete the folder with the name of the program.

 

You can additionally search through the C drive for the programs name and delete alll the results

You could try it with Revo Uninstaller. It gives you the option to force uninstall and delete all remaining files (folders, registry etc.). Just be careful what you delete.

Go into Safe Mode and delete the folders manually.

Use it with a bit caution, but it is a great program! I use it for years now and never had a problem.

You would be surprised what regular uninstallers leave behind!

EDIT: It got rid of Plane, but Steam still gives the same error.

Yup. Steam is still refusing to go away. I can do a forced install, and when I approve the message asking me if I want to remove the application, it gives me that same error. I don't want to do the scan and have it fuck things up even more...
