Sennheiser HD 598 + MSI Z77A-GD65 Gaming On board audio, good enough?

Yea, the GD65 had the best audio of the MSI Z77 boards.

Just pulled the trigger on some new headphones. What can I expect with on board audio? I've been reading that I wont get 100% without an amp.

When i got my 598s I was told only get an amp/dac/soundcard/etc if I was having issues with my onboard sound.

So far, I'm having no issues, and it sounds great.

As long as you are happy with the volume then you won't need any sound card or amplifier.

HD598 benefits very little or doesnt benefit at all from amping when you reach loud enough volume, so no is the answer
