This is thread is mostly for you to talk about how you've messed with your school computers or just in general make fun of your school's IT.

I was bored at some point and decided to point IE to 192.168.0.1 and guess what I found? A load of directories, I clicked through the directories to see if I could find anything interesting, then I noticed something... 'last modified: 2001' and in one of the directories I found some documentation for their blocking software, it was recommending Quicktime 3.

I personally didn't do it, but at my old school it all kicked off because the school claimed a reporter was a sex offender and told us to avoid her at all costs, some hackers from my old school got into all the teachers emails (including the head dogs email) and found she was a legit reporter and they didn't want her talking to the students.

Safe to say we never believed a word the school said again.

In elementry school, I pressed ctrl+a then enter on the desktop. Shit crashed and wouldnt thrn off unless you turned it off through the back. Then after that, the computer kept blue screening and memory dumping and sound looping :D

shutdown -i,(in cmd) brings up a UI for remote shutdown of others computers(you could turn off everyones PC if its on the same server, wouldn't recommend doing that). Also leave a nice message for those victims before a restart/shutdown(whatever you want to do).

There's a fun exploit on some of the older Windows thin client machines in my school that lets you do anything in Control Panel that doesn't require elevated privileges, so custom wallpapers etcetera.

We have to use separate accounts for SmallBasic (the coding language that we're learning...and I'm excelling at) because of some compatibility issues.

Sig under construction.

It's so great. Just cuz they know how to use the computer better and install windows. BOOM shes in charge of fixing all the computers... She looked like she was 50.. Not saying people in their 50s cant fix computers but there was something special about her also funny way how she used the computer. The mouse drags were unreal.

Well pretty much all the computers at my high school ran Pentium 4's with 1-2GB of RAM (the computer programming lab got 2GB WOW).  In the Tech rooms however, we had some pretty beefy machines.  Most were outfitted with an i5, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 460.  These PC's were used for video editing, photo shop, and 3D modeling/printing.

Well, there was an exploit in my school, you could get a cmd prompt open through software for programming pascal.(no way in removing the exploit without changing the software they used).

Our school has a total of 2TB for the entire school on a server and our school has 1500 people, and its not like its 2 gigs per person, you can use any amount of space you like so the school keeps doing announcementd every few weeks asking students to delete their files.

So my school gives us Macbook airs and has a billion filters and stuff but it would be so easy to remove by going into the unix mode but they sometimes do surprise inspections. Our school IT department I would say is pretty good and they know what they are doing.

our school of 2K students share a 500gb server, and honestly thats fine because all it is is text files essentially. well, that is until we all decided to install halo 1...
