Hmm, I didn't see that you quoted me. Strange.

I'm just about run out of ideas. It's pretty hard to say what's wrong, since I can't see what what's happening.

I I trust, that you plugged the USB drive into a USB 2.0 port? Did you try to change the USB controller to legacy mode?

There is actually one thing, that I forgot to ask. Is the SSD plugged into the Intel SATA controller?

If it's plugged into a third-party controller, that might be why it's asking for a driver.

Well, you could, but the problem doesn't seem to be the Windows .ISO

You could also follow the link I posted on the first page, and just direct download it.

What brand and model of motherboard and what brand and size of your ssd ?

I know I forgot to ask about something. A complete spec list would help.

Have you touched any of the settings in the BIOS? (Execpt ofr the USB controller setting)

Which reminds me, did you try to install Windows while not in legacy mode? If not, try it.

I used this method to copy my Windows 7 onto a USB drive , have used it about 3 times now without a glitch. Linus takes you through each step and It works ( Thanks Linus by the way). The only other things I can think of make sure that the ssd is connected to sata port 0 or sata port 1 and as Volbet has suggested make sure the ssd and the USB drive is formatted correctly. That is crucial.

That doesn't really tell me anything. Did you enter the BIOS?

A picture would help.

OMG I isntalled it!!!!!! yes!!!!! now.... how do I get it to get internet?

Download the LAN driver from the MSi website on your laptop, and transfer it with a USB drive.

Then you just install the driver on your new PC:

It has always seemed strange that Windows 7 didn't come with LAN drivers

You can also install the driver from the disk that came with your motherboard, but I recommend downloading it, since it's probably a newer version.

That is a common TCP/IP error. Try resetting your modem and/or router.

also it apearred that something from intel could have been badly installed

How so?

When you get connected to the internet, download all the Intel drivers from the MSi or Intel website.

As I said, download the Intel drivers when you get connected to the internet. Installing the drivers from the disk aren't always recommended.
