BF4 might be difficult to pull off with the G3258 on 64 player servers, but no, i use a G3258 OC'd to 4.0 @ 1.16V, and a GTX 770 running its factory OC, no percieved bottlenecks in any of the games i am currently playing. You will be fine, so long as you don't plan on using that G3258 forever. It is best used for a budget CPU, or as a placeholder for a higher tier socket 1150 in the future.

Also have you bought the g3258? If not I would advise in getting an i3 instead.

I have not bought the g3258.

I'm actually building one for my brother with the pentium in it. Going to use two different cards in it a 750ti and a 970. Also gonna try to over clock it to 4.0 I will let you know how it does

Rose's are red violets are blue, without computers I'd know not what to do.

on heavily threaded games like Crysis 3, BF4 etc... you would be cpu bound. some newer games, like dragon age inquisition for example, won't even run on a dual core (literally).

Save up more and get the i5 instead... The only reason holding me back from buying a G3258 system (aside from lack of funds) is the fact that it's only a dual core...

It's either the G3258 and i save money or i get a i5-4440.

Save your money it is much better to wait and get the i5 4440. In bf3/4 the i5 will give you a very noticeable performance boost compare to a g3258.
