New AMD Processor

There is a deal going on where I can get an MSI 970 gaming motherboard and AMD FX-4300 for $100. I'm wondering if I should try to sell the 4300 and get the 6300 instead. It would take some work and time to sell it and I wonder if the gained performance would justify that. I will be using this as my primary computer and also for some gaming. I have a very tight budget and can't get anything more than the FX-6300. I'll be using this with my R9 270X.

It depends on how much you can sell the 4300 and get the 6300 for. 

Either way, it's a decent deal at $100.

The 4300 has slightly better single-threaded performance but the 6300 beats it in multi-threaded performance and supposedly has a better price for performance ratio.

If you're on a really tight budget just keep your money imo
