Look into something called UPS. Un-interuptable Power Supply, I think it's short for.

It's basically a battery for your computer. However, can be a tad expensive. And you not likely to have more than an hour extra usage added from one.

They are more for power surge protection, and to save any type of data.

I know that this may sound unbelievably idiotic and stupid to some of you, but is it possible to have a battery power a computer with a standard 12V 650W corsair gold PSU for 2-3 hours? How many mAh would this take? Thanks in advance!

 

As GlassBomb said a UPS will do that and provide you battery backup for a short period (around 10 mins) of time if your system has a fairly high wattage, however you can modify a UPS and add additional lead acid car batteries in parallel and make it run for very long periods of time with no power.
