PNY 970 Wiring in SLI.

cruzzfish

Each card has 2x6 pin connectors. Can I use one cable that branches into two 6 pins at the end to power each of them, or should I use 4 seperate cables (that I do not have the plugs for, so I would need a different power supply.) Thanks in advance.

Which PSU do you have? If it's less than 650w, get a new one, if it is 650w, you might want to get a new one, if it is over 650w, you are fine.

Well it could work, depends on the psu. Sounds a little on the cheap side or just too inadequate.

The cable that branches into two 6-pins might just be two cables banded together, in that case if the PSU has enough wattage for the cards it should be fine. But i can't say it is that way because i don't see the cable itself.

I'm using an 850w power supply. It's semi modular, so it has 3x6 pin plugs and 4x5pins that can be plugged into it, each of which usually branch into at least two or three ending points.

If you have more pci power cables use them. Or use the splitter method and benchmark to see if it holds up.
