remove the GPU

and plug the monitor display cable to the mobo

if that fails

your got a power short somewhere in your casing which is touching the mobo

PS: is that a 4690K with a H97 board?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Makes sense that the GPU doesn't spin up because most 970s have that 0 dbA technology. Not sure about EVGA, but it's a possibility.

will try and yes it is a 4690k on H97

mistake number one there

the 4690K should be paired with a Z97 board if you want to OC the unlocked CPU

it means the GPU was receiving power

this may mean the mobo may be a fault

did you make sure it works outside the casing?

I took out the gpu and it posts to a screen that says "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" SO I guess now I need to know what do I do from here and how do I make my gpu work?

reseat the GPU and make sure the power connectors are plugged in
