i just got all of my computer parts for my system today and the power supply worked great out of the box but now that everything is in it and plugged in it wont turn on it is a corsair cx750 and i also have an evga 500w power supply and when i plug THAT into the motherboard the fans get to full speed and then stop running and the corsair one the two top fans just twitch and nothing else happens. in the system i have a core i5 cpu, one 1tb hard drive, and one 250gb hard drive (boot drive), 4 fans (including cpu fan), and then my msi motherboard.

Check if the PSUs start on their own please.

To do so, disconnect them fom the rest of the system, take the 24-pin ATX connector and use a paperclip of something conductive to connect the green wire with any black one next to it.

Then, connect it to the wall and flip the switch on the back of the PSU. Does it turn on?

Do you even custom Bios, bro?

if the mobo works outside the casing

 

it means there is a short when the mobo is in

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
