My brother's comp is experiencing a problem! It suddenly turned off and now no matter how many times we turn it on it just auto shuts off after a second without displaying anything!

No beep!

some i5 cpu

no sure about MOBO

MSI 460 twin frozr

some generic PSU (im trying to plug my g600w in right now to see whether if it is the PSU)

I had a similar problem recently, it was the cmos battery, i took it out for about 15 minutes, then put it back in and everything worked. You could also try and make sure the power and reset switches aren't lose. I'd recommend doing the latter first.

are you able to get to bios or does it shut off first

it doesnt display anything on the monitor!

Okay basically when i turn on the machine is starts up for like 2 seconds then it shuts down. After that it starts up again and the cycle repeats (even after i have changed PSU)

Nope! it does the cycle as mentioned above only when i on it

It could be your psu fan isnt working or the fan isnt working... the main killer of psu is dog hair
