Which Mount & Blade is best?

So i've seen Mount & Blade out here on the interwebs and figured i'd give it a shot cus it looks a little interesting.

Looking it up on steam i found alot of versions though,  Which one is the best?

What do the different versions offer?

Pros & Cons?

And consider picking up the newly released viking conquest DLC which is more or less it's own entirely new game than DLC.
