Assasins creed black flag, weird colours then game crashed

I was playing assassins creed black flag and I think I killed someone befroe I was supposed to and the game wouldn't let me proceed and wouldn't finish the mission, then when I went into the game menu there were weird colours scattered around one area then the game crashed.

 

Should I look more into this?

Only if it occurs again our more often. Might just be a random error with the game.

Or it could be your graphics card either overheating, either going to die.

I would try again, possibly gpu

would think this thread belongs in the troubleshooting sub forum

The graphic error sound like GPU problem. Drivers, OC or heating, take your pick. Its rather easy to troubleshoot so first try to recreate situation.
