Any of you use Spotify?

cooperb21

I'm trying it out the premium service, and so far it's pretty good.

FYI - There is currently a promo going on as mentioned HERE where you pay $9.99 (in Canada) for the first month, and you get 2 more months free.  Ends up being $3.33 a month for 3 months.  In the US it's even cheaper at $0.99 first month + 2 months free, which is $0.33 for 3 months - yup, we're paying 10x the price up here in Canada.  Promo ends Dec. 31.

It's a good music service, has helped me discover artists that I otherwise wouldn't have, but it can't stop me from buying an album from an artist I really like, such as the new imagine dragons album due in February.

:( Its not available in my country; neither is Google Play Music. I use Anghami, not as wide a catalog as the other two though.

Yep, been using Spotify (Premium) for about a year now and I've never looked back. I used to download all of my music, but as I've found out 95% of the music I listen to is on Spotify, so I've switched to the good side and have zero plans to start downloading music ever again. :)

Same here.

The only complain I have is when you have multiple albums of one artist as playlists grouped together in a folder you just cant playback the whole folder; You have to either choose one playlist or create a new one with all albums in it.

At least they got one thing right. When you have one song in different playlists which you saved for offline use, the song isn't going to be downloaded again.

Spotify is not great.

The web site and player is super intensive. Poorly optimize.

Xbox music is far superior, and that is what i have now.

Also it is cheaper.

Yes, wish it was $4.99 instead of $9.99 but yea, its great

$4.99 is for students. Just put on there you are a student, you don't need a school email. It's great lol
