Gtx 280

I have a gtx 280 in my pc how does this card preform what kind of games i can run and, what would I compare this to modern day, and I don't want anyone saying its shit and I need to upgrade, im not going to. so don't suggest it.

Well it's uh..slow to say the least. You can play pretty much any game just not good.

It's not only slow, but it's very inefficient too. I'd "upgrade" to a cheap modern card, rather than keep hold of something that was powerful in its day.

 

It's somewhere between a GT 740 and a GTX 750. I'd get a R9 270X and consider it a decent upgrade.

had (still at my disposal) a gtx285, great card, tons of memory bandwidth, wasn't too hot, consumed a few hundred watts like most high end cards.
1gb of vram is still plenty for the majority of games out there up to high settings at 1080p.
performance wise (bearing in mind driver optimizations for newer cards) its probably around 7790/750ti performance.
bf3 on high at 1080p. bf4 medium, toms raider somewhere between, bioshock infinite high..
