Looking for a mouse

Well, I'm building my gaming rig in a week or so and my old mouse I got with my Dell isn't going to cut it. 

 

I'm looking for suggestions for a mouse that'll be decent for gaming but won't break the bank.

I popped up a ruler and my hand is ~6" from the end of my middle finger to where it connects to my arm. It is ~3" from the edge of my thumb to the other side of my hand. Don't know if these measurements will help any, but neither will a mouse that my hand is too small/big for.

Any idea how long the wire is? I'll be around 8 feet from my PC the way it'll be set up, so I may have to go wireless.

Cable isn't long enough. Box says 6.56 feet.

Don't let the length of a cord decide the mouse you buy. Buy a usb extension cable.

What @bradscoolio said don't let something small like cable size decide what mouse to get .
