memory ram compatibility

Go to solution Solved by ForsakenLive,

Intel recommends 1.5v memory for their controllers (which are built in the CPU). The large majority of motherboards can provide 1.65v (even more sometimes). Running 1.6v or 1.65v will stress a little more the memory controller, but nothing that insane (it just runs a bit hotter). So go ahead and get the ram you want.

i have a asus z97 pro and i can't find anywhere if it supports 1.65v memory ram, im  trying to color match my buiild and i can get this gold corsair vengance pro 16gb for a very nice price but im a lil skeptical about the 1.65v

this is my motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132116&cm_re=asus_z97_pro-_-13-132-116-_-Product

adn this is the ram i like: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233600&cm_re=CMY16GX3M2A2400C11A-_-20-233-600-_-Product

Spend the 22 dollars more and get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132125&cm_re=hero-_-13-132-125-_-Product

Also get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231589&cm_re=Trident_X-_-20-231-589-_-Product

Its 2400 but CL10 instead of CL11

So 32 dollars in total extra for a better board and better ram IMO.
