Pretty much the title, both are in a very similar price range, although where i live the H440 is much harder to get.

Them both being good cases you may ask why don't i just get the R4 if the H440 is difficult to get, well - currently, although not planned my build has acquired a black and red color theme, so the H440 would fit right in, but again about that - ive been told that the black/red version is way worse compared to the white H440.

The H440 has more front intake fans but no drive bays. The R4 has moduvent system which the h440 doesnt. However if you use the moduvents they're not filtered. H440 also has rear i/o lighting which is cool and an integrated fan hub. R4 comes with a small fan controller in  the back tho.

I have the H440 right now and I really like it alot. the only thing I found annoying was that the PSU cover isn't possible to remove(?) which made it a little bit more annoying to build in. The fact that it does not have any drive bays and somewhat limited number of HDD slots is fine for me since I only use 2 SSDs for storage.

That said. The Define R4 is a solid case and I've build many PCs in it. I recommend it too.

Why would you listen to me? I'm just some random guy on the internet!

@Fidycent May I ask how hard it is for you to get a Define R4 Blackout?  It's all black, which would also match a red and black theme.

The fit and finish of a red and black H440 are essentially the same as the white one.  Glossy red accents on matte black niceness. Though I think the lights are still white on it. I think the average opinion of the internet is that the white one looks better though.

So the rumor that black and red version of the h440 being worse is false?

I haven't even heard of it being worse. The only difference is colors.
