Since there aren't flat cables for Corsair PSU's I might opt for extension cables, now my question is, are these safe current quality wise?

After you have done hundreds of researches to find a PSU with good quality current (low ripple etc) I wonder if adding more hurdles for the current can make the same degrade in quality, is this true?

I use them for my GPU, EPS, and 24-pin. Haven't noticed anything.

I use Silverstone red extensions and they work great.

Haven't seen or heard anyone have problems with extensions so I guess they are not bad.

But does it affect current quality?

I'm sure some would argue the quality is degraded due to the extra connectors between the path, and they may be right - but it's negligible as far as I can tell.

Yes, that's the kind of study I'm after. I would think that chaining say 30 connectors would make some change... I was interested if this has been studied, after all today there are benchmarks of about anything you can imagine...

You're not chaining 30 extensions from one cable from a PSU.

You're going to be using one extension on each seperate cable. As such, the current will be affected by an infintismally small amount.

Extensions are perfectly safe inside computers

Yes I know, I was painting an analogy so you could get my point that some loss is expected. There are already several connections, one for the PSU, another for the extension, and another for the HDD/SSD. I would expect current quality would be affected, how much? I don't know, that's basically my question on OP. I guess it's a necessary evil.
