The heck..

.

I am heka surprised about this, I know that Titan is the second fastest supercomputer in the world. What I thought that it will be using Intel Xeons or other intel processors. Intel has always been faster, even though I am a AMD fanboy I admit it... But why the heck will a government $60 million project ditch Intel to go for AMD opetron....

Let me know what you think. We're you surprised or did you already know bout this?

Lets all ripperoni in pepperoni

  • It was built in 2012

Opterons traditionally had better performance per watt

Look at the Opteron 16 core release video and there you go "AMD has really gone for the performance per watt here, making an Opteron invaluable in a datacenter" or something like that.

Compatible with Windows 95

well, performance per watt is higher in a super computer stance.

it's extremely parallel.

Yeah, I knew about this.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)
