Im building a new pc for CAD based work, can anyone give me some feedback?

 

CPU: 5820k X99

MOBO: x99 MSI SLI PLUS

CASE: CM STRIKER

PSU:CM GX750 80 PLUS BRONZE

RAM: DDR4 PATRIOT EXTREME ED 16GB

HDD:TOSHIBA 2TB X2 RAID 1

 

ill be using my old Firepro v7900 with my PC

Also, I was wondering if I can run 1 gaming and 1 workstation card on my PC?

my current one wont let me run my v7900 and my 660oc at the same time:*(

I don't think you can go wrong with the x99 platform especially with the 5820k. The case is excellent, my friend has it, but it all comes down to whether you like it or not. The PSU is good but you should probably go with a better rated power supply, maybe gold or even platinum. Ram is good if you don't plan on doing heavy video editing or such with it. And last but not least, the Firepro v7900 is a blast :D cheers

I was wondering if you really need over 16GB of ram to work in Solidwork? whats the difference between bronze, silver, gold psu? Ive it makes some difference, but how much?

My dad is an engineer, he recommends 32GB. I personally have never used it but I trust my father.

U need a ssd in there otherwise all the horse power is wasted :)

So grab yourself Samsung 850 pro (they coming out soon) or intel.

Get a 1000+ watt PSU, gives you more upgrade "potential" in-case you want to slap in another GFX card and all that. 

 

Also get the biggest case you can; if size is not an issue; the bigger the case = the better

I believe CM striker is a full tower case? yes? are there any bigger case out there?
