External optical drive

I need an external optical drive to burn all my parent's CD's into our NAS, any suggestions?

I was looking at getting the $30 Asus one, but I wanted to see if anyone knew anything else.

Any will work fine, just make sure they are at least 8x speeds.

I couldn't find any that are higher than 8x, is that the fastest they make?

 

I have like tons of CD's from my parents that they asked me to put on the NAS so I figured I'd get an external ODD and use my PC since it's not laggy like the other PC's in the house.

I think so, thats what ive seen from all the specs.

24x for cd, 8x for dvd

slower than internal optical drives, but its enough for what you need :)
