As the title says, I've always been a fan of war games and other games like CoD or battlefield... I've heard that is a really different kind of experience so yeah, anyone that could give me his opinion will be greatly appreciated.

ARMA can be so realistic I've heard plod people that stopped playing it because "it's too realistic."

Not to mention "good" is relative

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

not the kind of game you can run and gun in at all. If you like a slow paced tactical game its a good game. Sounds are excellent and graphics are really nice but takes a beastly rig to run the game maxed out.

I am a bf4 player and arma 3 is my first arma game so that being said I found the learning curb pretty brutal but with time invested its worth it.  On the other side of things I thought bf controls were easy to pick up. If you do get into arma I will say having the Battle Royal mod is a must! super fun.

Do you think an i7-4790k + G1 GTX 970 + 16GB RAM is good enough to enjoy the game at good settings? I have to say I'm using a 1440p monitor so for the 970 the struggle is real...

Its a fun game, but you cant go at it like your typical shooter like cod of battlefield. It can require allot of patience as games can run for quite a while.

Yes, you can see my specs in my signature. I have my view distance higher than normal because I'm generally a pilot. Just turn off AA and you'll be fine

In my experience it depends on the server, some servers I get 25fps no matter what my settings are and others I get 50+ (generally though I use medium-higher settings).

I have a 3570k and an R9 270 btw.

Also, make sure you disable core parking. It help arma III run SO much better.

I guess I'm going to stress test my CPU and my patience... I hope it is not a requirement to form a team and talk to each other haha, I don't have a setup nor a team of friends that I can play it with

I just bought it for $30 and is 9.5/10.5 gb installed

I've never played campaign because that not really what the game is about. You may want to look into something like "King of the hill" it's a game mode that's more arcade style and forgiving.
