Hi I'm looking at microphones but im not sure if the frequency response should be higher or lower because im really confused and recording sample rate should the bit be higher or lower and im very sorry if this is in the wrong section because a microphone is kinda like a peripheral.

for frequency response, as long as the mic can do 100-10 000Hz it will be enough.

for recording, higher bitrate = higher quality but usually the mic is what limits sound quality in recordings.

ok thanks so 10 hz to 10 khz?? and soo 16 bit would be worse than 24 bit. because i want to get the best sound quality for the mic as possible because i will be going to alot of conventions and make alot of gaming and technology videos.

100hz is low enough, but if the mic youre getting goes down to 10 then thats fine too.

Unless youre getting a professional mic like one of those $300 condenser mics then there shouldnt be a difference between 16 and 24 bit afaik
