Yea, if they made them I would buy it, but 144hz helps a lot in the games I play :(

it would be great if they made 144hz IPS. I cannot stand TN panels.

To each their own, I suppose. My previous monitor (which I still own) is IPS, and my current 4k monitor is TN. Yes, whites could be brighter/whiter and blacks aren't quite as deep, but I can definitely tolerate it considering it's 4k.

I should also add that not all TN panels are the same, so the TN panel featured on a higher end monitor will look better than a $150 monitor.

The RoG Swift doesn't run 144hz @ 1080p right? Taken from TFT: "You can run the screen at 1920 x 1080 if you want, but only at 60Hz maximum refresh rate according to this spec. We actually tried the screen at 1920 x 1080 and 144Hz refresh rate and it seemed to work fine, but maybe results will vary." This is not really a definitive answer. Anyone have an experience with it?

Just tested this and I am running mine at 144 Hz @ 1080p right now. Seems to work just fine?

Shouldn't that be 144hz at 1440p? or was it an actual question related to 1080p content displayed on the swift?

Yeah I was answering the question about 144hz@1080p on the rog swift. I only switched the resolution for the test though.

I don't know why you would switch to 1080p though.... if you can afford the rog swift you should have the gpu to run it.

Ahh, wouldn't want someone thinking the swift wasnt 1440p. is it worth the glorious pixels/27 inch screen over its 1080p brother?

For counter strike, a lot of players like to play at lower resolutions to make it easier to aim. Playing CS at 1440p is not something I would want to do. A lot of players (especially pros) play on resolutions under 720p (some play on 4:3 too) so for CS, it doesn't seem like a good monitor assuming you will be playing under 1080p and still want 144hz
