So I have enough fans for all of the primary fan locations in my case, but some of my case fans are much higher quality than others. So my question is, are there certain spots that should have the high quality fans dedicated to them and some that aren't as important or are all locations equally important?

Thanks

One high quality exhaust, and one high quality intake at least.

i have a haf 912 case with the stock fans that came with it along with 2 corsair af120's. I am using a CM Hyper 212 Plus as my cpu cooler and i have a gtx 780 graphics card. I would like to do minimal overclocking to the cpu and graphics card if temps permit.

I think positive air pressure would work best for your set up. :)

This means try to mount more intake fans rather than exhaust fans. There will be a few draw backs especially if your case on the ground.

So try to mount a 200mm fan whenever possible It has more CFM than 2 x 120mm fans combined.

Mu suggestion is 200 mm in the front and 140 at the side, Hyper 212 in Push/Pull , 200mm at the top and 120 at the rear.

If you want more airflow you can mount a 120 or 140 at the 5.25 in bays but it would take up 3 slots.

Just make sure you have fresh air blowing unto your GPU and try to set a RPM curve for the fans with afterburner or precision. :)

For your CPU, the hyper 212 will give you good temps and allow some room for overclocking. Just make sure your temps don't go over 80C adn you should be fine for both CPU and GPU.

Hopefully this helps. :)

if you want to give your GPU some more fresh air, you could take out the top HDD cage, then lay a fan on the remaining HDD cage, so that one end of it lies next to the PSU and one end on the cage like this:

http://prntscr.com/1ai8do

That is what I have in my HAF912 too ^^ I also mounted a 140mm fan in the 5.25" bays, if you put a 120mm there you can still use one 5.25" drive, with a 140mm there is none left usable.

I use zip-ties to mount fans like this.

AMD FX8320 @3.5ghz |  Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3  |  Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600mhz  |  Hyper 412s  |  Gigabyte windforceR9 290  |  BeQuiet! 630w  |  Asus Xonar DGX  |  CoolerMast HAF 912+  |  Samsung 840 120gb

2 WD red 1tb RAID0  |  WD green 2tb(external, backup)  |  Asus VG278He  |  LG Flatron E2240  |  CMstorm Quickfire TK MXbrown  |  Sharkoon Fireglider  |  Audio Technica ATH700X
