COD AW on PC question.

am i the only one who cant find a multiplayer match on the game. sure i can find the usualy TDM and dom. game that everyone plays. but the game just came out and i have yet to try any other game mode other than the ones people play when the game dies (tdm, dom., and kill confirmed). i cant find any game for momentum or uplink, or infected, capture the flag, hardpoint, i cant find any game except for the modes i have listed. am i the only one who is going through this?

Every COD title since MW2 onwards has had a hugely dimishing population shortly after launch.

This game is no different, which sucks because the movement mechanics with the exosuit really do suit those 'run n gunners' like myself, but the population problems are always going to be there.

 

Friday Nights/Sat Nights are now the best times for you to play other gametypes (Most evenings are good, just not for all gametypes)

The first 3 modern warfares and black ops 1 and 2 are both played pretty actively still.  There are still entire communities based out of MW1 and black ops 1 & 2.

They only game type you can play is TDM. I wouldn't call it very active.

Heard about the defaulted 800ms search ranges..switched to 100ms (placebo or not, would rather set it anyway)

 

In One night, My first night actually,... had to play 21 Games, to find a Local match. (20 Games of 1-2Bars (mainly 1), 1 game of Full bars)

 

How bad does that say the population is.

 

There are servers up for most COD titles, but buying a game because it still has players is one thing, buying for the only one or two servers that may have players to join, is a little much., (meaning the older titles)

Where are you located? maybe the servers are different, but i'm getting a huge list 100+ servers with 40+ players in each. The top few servers usually have ~80 people in them

I can usually find Hardpoint games quite regularly as well as TDM and DOM but other then that it's quite rare to find any games in other game types. Have you looked into your NAT type it may have something to do with it, my friends was set to moderate and we couldn't join each other because we both kept getting host.

wait until they roll out the 4 map pack expansions then you get players fragmented even further via which map packs they were suckered into buying

this has been the first cod game on pc ive bought since call of duty 2. and i feel like i have made the worst decision compared to getting it for my ps4, even if it only cost me half the price.

I've done all the CoD's except AW and I strictly only play free for all and have never experienced sitting for a long time in que for a lobby on Xbox I just hate when some of my favorite 'prey' gets separated from me because of map packs.

i find more lobbies in cod 4 on ps3 than i do on this game

The Playerbase/count on PC VS Consoles has a huge difference & for a lot of FPS games,...COD being a prime example..consoles generally have zero issues populating any gametype lobby at all, compared to PC varied gametype lobbies can take excess of 20mins to infinite waiting to have no games found still.

really???? what game modes do you play. id say i have no problem either if i only wanted to play the core 4-5 game modes. but i want to try the other game modes that are empty 24/7

Well I guess it depends where you're located. I play domination/TDM/Moshpit.

yea, those games are found fairly quickly because they are so common. try getting into a game of momentum. it wont work.  (and im in NY, servers pretty close by)

I used to play momentum a lot. My record winning round is 38 seconds.
