The reason for all of the case fans is because I need 8 for the rad (push pull 480mm), 8 for the side (lots of air movement) and 3 for the front (cause I can on my budget tongue.gif ). I also want to run it very quietly (eg 20Db or less).

Also, that motherboard is a must as it comes with additional wifi addon and a system control panel (my friend has one - F***ING AWESOME)

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

I am going to use it for gaming, a bit of rendering and mainly showing off to my friend who brags about his X99 build with a single 290X..... Once I build this that will look pitiful :D

If there is no budget grab Noctuas instead.

The build is red/black and the fans will be seen - they are great fans (not as good as noctuas) and are silent with a great colour scheme.

I don't need that much storage, but with that all I can think of is... SPEEEEED.

How much more money? Will the Triple 980s be enough? What monitors do you reccomend?

I only need 1TB for now - I also have around 4TB laying around at home.

I know, but I like the look of the red/black corsair ones. Also, I want to keep the build very quiet (under 20DB). The Corsair ones run at just that. The Noctua industrial ones run at 30DB for the 2000RPM ones and nearly 45DB for the 3000RPM - thats loud :P

That is the stupidest reason to spend this much money on a pc....Especially since a 4790k will actually perform better in gaming (the exact same at the same speeds).

That's max, you can control them to be quieter.

Thanks for all of the help guys.

However, I need them $$$ if I can build this. So stay tuned - this might come around mid to late next-year (if my parents and "funders (me) are nice enough :D)

It will be over time, unfortunately.

Age - middle school

$10k on a pc and in middle school..... K

Seriously, don't go X99 to one-up your friend. A 4790k will perform exactly the same in gaming (assuming you can clock the 5930k/5960x as high as a 4790k).

It's a complete waste of time planning a build a year ahead of time using current hardware. In a year there will likely be much better/different options.

Also, unless your parents are very rich, don't waste their money on a $10k computer. There's much better things they can spend it on for your future.

I agree with that, if you are planning to get the case in january ang get the mobo in march and so on, I recommend saving your money all together and waiting because by mid-end of next year there will be a lot of great stuff out, 980 8gb etc..

You are better of waiting or, going with a 4790k, I have mine at 4.7Ghz no problems...
