weird display issue/ power issue

my pc went into sleep mode and when i went to turn it back on display wouldn't come back, turned off my monitor and when i did the displayed showed no signal, struck me as odd I tried to reseat my pc and it didn't work didn't really think abt so i tried to shut it down that didn't work either (i think i held the power button for at least 5 seconds) and nothing worked had to turn it off with the power switch and then it worked fine for now would appreciate any help with what possibly could be the issue/ if i need to be weary of any weird activity

sleep function is an unreliable function that relies on your bios, chipset drivers, gpu drivers, windows patch version..  and more.

 

first off... in windows, turn off fastboot so your pc actually starts fresh when you start it up. with todays hardware you shouldn't realy see much difference anyway. but it is actually "sleeping" when using fastboot, only way to get a fresh boot is to reboot. 

 

personaly i would turn off any sleep function in bios and windows, and shut the computer down when turning it off.
