Never ever use auto vCore. That's why you can;t do 4.6GHz. There's also other stuff that needs adjusted.

Hi!

I am trying to OC my i7-4790K on a ASUS Maximus VII Hero ut every time I OC higher then 4.6GHz and reboot it says OC failed.

Everything else is on Auto!

Plz help! :)

What voltage are you trying to reach 4.6 on>?

If you have adequate cooling, try raising the VCore.

It might just be that you are hitting the overclocking wall at 4.6GHz. Some CPUs can't overclock as high as other.

What wattage PSU do you have?

Wattage is irrelevant as long as the CPU has enough. It's voltage stability that's more of a factor and amount of voltage
