Is it a bad idea to increase voltages on this motherboard?

Fate

So I'm incredibly bored so I decided I wanted to overclock my 960T. My motherboard is a an Asrock A770de+ which doesn't have any heatsinks on the VRM, but I have extremely good airflow onto them. I won't be pushing voltages until I put my Hyper 212+ on there (waiting for thermal paste to arrive) but I was just wondering if it's a good idea? I probably wouldn't go past 1.4v.

Also I tried unlocking the CPU to 6 cores and it is stable, but I'm not sure if my motherboard can handle it?

Sorry guys I'm pretty noob when it comes to motherboards, especially older ones.

Overclock till it burns I say! Then give yourself an excuse to buy a new motherboard  :D

I wouldn't personally, not if you care about the motherboard anyways.

So you wouldn't recommend even 1.4v with adequate cooling? I can only get it up to 3.5GHz at stock voltage but it's really not a big deal to go higher, was just something to do for fun.

I wouldn't recommend touching the voltage at all. I've seen too many cases of boards just frying when overclocking power hungry AMD chips with inadequate VRM cooling.
